As a Senior Shopify Customization Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly customized and scalable Shopify solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, propose technical solutions, and lead the development and deployment of advanced features.

Responsibilities:

1. Shopify Customization: Lead the customization and development of Shopify-based e-commerce solutions, ensuring optimal performance, responsiveness, and user experience.
2. Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to implement effective and innovative solutions.
3. App Integration: Integrate third-party apps and APIs to enhance and extend the functionality of the Shopify platform, ensuring seamless user experiences.
4. Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring the e-commerce platform’s speed, efficiency, and scalability.
5. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust testing processes, including unit testing and code reviews, to ensure the delivery of high-quality, bug-free code.
6. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, integrations, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
7. Stay Updated: Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in e-commerce technology, particularly Shopify, and recommend relevant improvements or updates.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (4+ years) as a Shopify Developer with a strong portfolio of Feature customization projects.
3. Expertise in liquid programming, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies for Shopify development.
4. Experience with Shopify app development and integration with third-party APIs.
5. Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, UX/UI principles, and SEO considerations.
6. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Experience in mentoring and leading junior developers.
9. Shopify certifications (optional but a plus).
