We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) in the US Timezone on a remote basis for our client.

Responsibilities
• Design and build backend services and APIs consumed by the iOS app and AI engine
• Develop and extend our financial analytics library (transaction analysis, categorization, insights)
• Build integrations — Plaid for financial data, LiveKit for real-time sessions, cloud document storage
• Write comprehensive tests — unit, integration, and end-to-end
• Optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and retrieval
• Participate in architecture decisions and code review
• Debug production issues across the full stack when needed

Requirements
• 4-5 years backend engineering experience
• Strong Python skills
• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs
• Solid testing discipline — pytest, integration testing, CI-driven test suites
• Comfortable with databases — SQL and document stores
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Clear communicator who can own features end-to end
